What you'll do
Lead a team of five Business Development Representatives in the SAARC region, directing daily activities and ensuring regional pipeline objectives and performance metrics are met or exceeded.
Own the end-to-end talent lifecycle for the BDR team, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and continuous professional development to ensure rapid ramp and sustained performance.
Establish and execute structured 1:1 coaching sessions, skill development initiatives, and creative performance incentives that foster a growth mindset and prepare team members for future advancement.
Drive quota attainment and pipeline generation through strategic oversight, ensuring that regional pipeline objectives and performance metrics are consistently exceeded.
Partner closely with regional Sales leadership, global Marketing teams, and Sales Operations to optimize lead flows, elevate campaign effectiveness, and refine internal processes.
Adopt a player-coach mindset when necessary, supporting the team in breaking into strategic accounts and navigating complex regional roadblocks hands-on.
Analyze market dynamics, buyer personas, and competitive positioning to continuously refine the approach to demand generation and pipeline quality.
Leverage AI-native tools and modern methodologies to improve workflows, accelerate execution, and share improvements across the team to lift everyone up.
Maintain full transparency in collaboration, communicating clearly with stakeholders to align on qualification criteria, handoff processes, and pipeline quality.
Champion iteration and data-driven decision-making to test, learn, and scale what works best for the SAARC region.
Ensure compliance with company standards and processes while enabling the team to operate efficiently in a distributed environment.
Contribute to the broader Business Development strategy by providing insights from the field back to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Support the creation of scalable training frameworks and documentation that enable new hires to ramp quickly and perform at a high level.
Act as a thought leader within the Cloudflare ecosystem, representing the SAARC region in cross-company initiatives focused on growth and innovation.
Requirements
You must have experience managing a team of business development representatives, with a proven track record of leading and scaling performance-driven teams.
You should demonstrate a strong history of quota attainment and pipeline generation in previous sales or business development roles.
You must possess excellent coaching skills, with the ability to deliver structured feedback and develop talent through regular one-on-one interactions.
You should have experience with end-to-end talent lifecycle management, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding to scale teams efficiently.
You must be comfortable using AI-native tools and modern sales and productivity platforms to drive efficiency and insight.
You should have a deep understanding of buyer personas, market competition, and strategic account planning within a B2B context.
You must exhibit strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance metrics and translate them into actionable coaching and process improvements.
You should communicate with clarity and transparency, building trust across distributed teams and aligning stakeholders on goals and processes.
You must be willing to adopt a player-coach mindset, occasionally stepping into hands-on roles to support the team in overcoming roadblocks.
