About the role
ClassPass is seeking an outgoing professional to join a newly formed team dedicated to expanding our network of fitness, wellness, and food and beverage partners across the United States. In this role, you will own the end-to-end responsibility for identifying, engaging, and onboarding new local businesses in your assigned territory. The majority of your work will involve proactive travel to conduct in-person meetings with prospective partners and to actively participate in relevant industry events. You will act as the primary point of contact for partners, guiding them through the integration process and ensuring they understand the value of our platform. Success in this position requires a disciplined approach to managing a full sales cycle from initial outreach through to final contract execution. You will leverage data and market insights to uncover new opportunities and refine your approach to business development. Ultimately, your work will directly drive the growth and vibrancy of the ClassPass network in your region.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Prospect and sign up new local businesses within your assigned territory to strengthen the ClassPass partner network.
- Conduct daily in-person visits to potential partners and actively attend industry events to build awareness and generate leads.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to final contract negotiation, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Meet or surpass monthly acquisition goals and pipeline targets to support the growth objectives of the business.
- Analyze local market trends to identify new growth opportunities and refine your targeting strategy over time.
- Record all sales activities and metrics within our CRM to maintain accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Develop deep expertise in the fitness, wellness, and food and beverage sectors to better serve partner needs.
- Utilize consultative selling techniques to understand partner challenges and present tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve partner inquiries and ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Maintain a rigorous schedule of outreach and follow-up to maximize your territory coverage and conversion rates.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in outbound field sales combined with inside sales, demonstrating a consistent track record of success.
- Ability to travel 70 to 80 percent of the time, including multi-night trips by car or plane, to effectively cover your assigned territory.
- Expertise in full-cycle sales and conversion techniques, with a proven ability to move deals from discovery to close.
- Strong skills in B2B negotiation, organization, and time management to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven history of hitting or exceeding performance quotas, showing resilience and a results-driven mindset.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required due to the extensive travel nature of the position.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship is required for this role.
- Willingness to adhere to company policies, including those related to expense reporting and professional conduct.
- Comfort with using technology platforms to manage sales data and communicate with partners and internal stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of partner and customer information at all times.
