The role expands chronic care delivery to obesity and overweight management for youth within a virtual clinic. The position provides family-centered, virtual care using a tech-enabled, science-based model to improve child health outcomes.

What you'll do
Standardized screening for obesity and overweight occurs during 60-minute virtual intake appointments, and individualized treatment plans are created to address each child's needs. Comprehensive clinical services are delivered, including medication management for conditions such as GLP-1s and other anti-obesity medications, with diagnostic labs ordered and interpreted. Shared Medical Appointment groups focused on "Positive Parenting for Healthy Weight" are led to support families collectively. Collaboration with behavioral health colleagues happens, and referrals to other services are coordinated when appropriate. Medical progress is monitored and treatment plans are adjusted during 30-minute follow-up appointments. Clinical documentation and administrative work are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
Requirements
Active licensure to practice medicine in California is required, with a current DEA registration. Board certification in Pediatrics is mandatory, and board certification in Obesity Medicine is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of patient care experience must be demonstrated. Deep interest or proven experience in Lifestyle Medicine, nutrition coaching, and physical activity is necessary. Confidence using electronic medical records and telemedicine tools to deliver virtual care is required. Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to culturally responsive treatment is expected. Nice to have
Ability to speak Spanish is valued to support upcoming Spanish-language initiatives. Willingness to obtain additional medical licenses in other states is supported with company resources.
Practical notes
This role is full-time (30+ hours) and remote within the United States. The schedule follows Monday through Friday Pacific hours, 8am to 8pm. Typical interview steps
