About the role

You will operate at the critical intersection of engineering, product, and customer operations within the post-acute healthcare ecosystem. This role is fundamentally about diagnosing why real operational systems fail and constructing robust software that addresses those failures at their source. You will spend significant time embedded within live provider environments, observing intake, billing, and authorization workflows to uncover systemic inefficiencies. Half of your responsibility involves deep technical execution across the full stack, while the other half focuses on translating complex operational realities into scalable platform features. You will directly influence both the evolution of the Claim Health platform and the strategic definition of new product lines. This position is designed for builders who want maximum ownership and direct proximity to customer impact. You will write production code, manage deployments, design critical workflows, and establish abstractions that become enduring components of the platform.

What you'll do

Build production systems that are shipped directly into production environments without intermediary staging gates.

Design and implement workflow orchestration systems that coordinate complex operational processes across disparate healthcare systems.

Develop internal tooling and customer-facing interfaces that reduce manual effort and human error in high-stakes environments.

Construct resilient software architectures capable of managing the intricate coordination required for revenue-critical workflows.

Work across the entire technological spectrum, including frontend user interactions, backend business logic, infrastructure, data layers, and system integrations.

Embed directly with operators, billing teams, executives, and frontline staff to observe real-world workflows and identify hidden bottlenecks.

Lead implementations and deployments within large, complex healthcare organizations, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption.

Translate ambiguous and complex customer pain points into concrete, scalable product primitives that can solve broad operational challenges.

Shape the direction of product lines by identifying patterns in operational reality and generalizing them into platform capabilities.

Partner closely with engineering and go-to-market teams to rapidly iterate on workflows based on direct field feedback and observed outcomes.

Own the entire lifecycle of specific outcomes, from initial diagnosis in messy environments through to the deployment of automated solutions.

Build automation that removes significant operational burden at scale, allowing human teams to focus on higher-value patient care activities.

Ensure all systems are observable, reliable, and correct under the demanding constraints of real-world healthcare operations.

Operate with a sense of urgency while rigorously maintaining high engineering standards for code quality and system integrity.

Requirements

You must have strong full-stack engineering fundamentals that enable you to work effectively across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

You must be comfortable operating across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data systems without requiring rigid role boundaries.

You must have experience working directly with customers or operational stakeholders to understand critical business workflows.

You must possess the ability to move fluidly between deep technical details and broad business context.

You must thrive in ambiguous, high-ownership environments where clear requirements are not always immediately apparent.

You must enjoy understanding how real organizations operate and adapt software solutions to fit their complex realities.

You must be capable of deconstructing operational chaos into well-defined software systems and processes.

You must care deeply about reliability, edge cases, and maintaining high product quality even under pressure.

Nice to have

Experience with workflow orchestration systems is preferred but not required.

A background in AI agents, automation, or integration platforms is also preferred but not mandatory.

Practical notes

This role requires travel to customer sites as needed for implementations and deployments.
