Account Executive (Political)
Job description
About the role
You will own the end to end sales cycle for Democratic campaigns and progressive organizations across a defined set of states, managing opportunities from initial outreach through closing and expansion. You will leverage Civitech's technology and data solutions to help clients advance policy objectives and win campaigns through disciplined, data driven outreach. This role requires you to act as both a trusted advisor and a strategic partner, aligning product capabilities with the specific needs of each customer. You will manage your own pipeline, set daily priorities, and operate with a high degree of ownership in a remote first, self directed sales environment. Success in this position depends on consistent activity, rigorous deal qualification, and steady follow through to move opportunities forward. You will report directly to the VP of Sales as an individual contributor responsible for hitting assigned quotas and expanding footprint within your portfolio. This position rewards sellers who combine deep listening, strong product knowledge, and repeatable sales methods to drive sustainable growth.

Typical interview steps include a role play, a discovery call simulation, and a presentation, where you may be asked to pitch a product to a panel or handle a tough objection. Behavioral questions will focus on past quota attainment and deal history, so bring examples of your results. Interviews often simulate the job itself, so be ready to run a short discovery call or demo and practice your sales pitch out loud.
