What you'll do
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify growth segments and emerging trends, using insights to shape Cic's brand narrative and marketing initiatives across Japan and Asia.
- Architect and own the end-to-end marketing strategy for Cic Japan, aligning with global objectives and adjusting for local market dynamics.
- Develop and manage an integrated marketing mix, including digital advertising, social media, email campaigns, PR, and print collateral to ensure consistent messaging.
- Serve as the primary strategic partner to the Japan country leadership, providing data-driven recommendations to support business unit priorities.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of demand generation programs, managing the full funnel from awareness to conversion and retention.
- Direct the creation and localization of marketing content, ensuring all materials resonate with target audiences and adhere to the Cic brand standards.
- Manage and mentor external agencies and vendors, maintaining strong relationships while rigorously managing budgets and performance metrics.
- Implement robust measurement frameworks, analyzing campaign performance and ROI to continuously refine marketing tactics and reporting insights to stakeholders.
- Lead the annual planning cycle for the Japan office, defining KPIs, budgets, and go-to-market strategies for new launches and expansions.
- Act as the central point of contact for global marketing teams, facilitating cross-regional collaboration and ensuring alignment with the broader Cic vision.
- Drive the development of the Cic brand architecture and visual identity system to support scalability across new markets.
- Coordinate with product and business development teams to ensure marketing initiatives support the commercialization of new campus offerings.
- Leverage CRM and marketing automation platforms to nurture leads and manage complex stakeholder relationships across the region.
- Spearhead high-impact events and activations that position Cic as a thought leader in the innovation and startup ecosystem.
- Provide strategic oversight for public relations and media relations, securing positive coverage that enhances the Cic brand reputation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 years managing teams and budgets exceeding USD 1M.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable business growth.
- Extensive experience managing complex projects and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese, with the ability to present to executive audiences.
- Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with large data sets to derive actionable insights and inform strategy.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners, including agencies, media, and industry influencers.
- Deep understanding of B2B marketing principles and the ability to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Japan and across Asia Pacific regions to support key initiatives and stakeholder meetings.
