What you'll do
- Reconfigure damaged seating surfaces by performing structural repairs and replacing worn components with precision.
- Recreate original color schemes by expertly dyeing and matching fabrics to meet visual specifications.
- Restore structural integrity to compromised panels using advanced bonding and filling methods.
- Revitalize plastic and vinyl components through specialized cleaning, treatment, and restoration processes.
- Reinforce stitching integrity by repairing broken threads and reinforcing high-stress seam areas.
- Rebuild center consoles and dashboards by addressing cracks, breaks, and surface imperfections comprehensively.
- Refinish headliners to eliminate sagging and restore the aesthetic and functional properties of the overhead interior.
- Repair windshield glass fractures by identifying stress points and executing controlled restoration techniques.
- Rectify chips and bullseyes on windows using specialized filling and polishing compounds for clarity and strength.
- Address combination breaks and surface scratches through meticulous assessment and targeted repair strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs performed and materials utilized for quality assurance purposes.
- Support inventory flow by ensuring repaired vehicles meet inspection standards for customer delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing best practices with team members.
- Operate all specialized tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturer safety and operational guidelines.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and workflow demands in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
You must possess a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive interior repair and/or glass repair experience to qualify for this position. You are required to demonstrate proficiency in repairing damaged cloth, fabric, plastic, vinyl, and other upholstery materials. You must be capable of repairing center consoles, seats, dashboards, headliners, plastic components, and stitching with consistent accuracy. You must have the ability to color match and dye cloth and fabric to achieve seamless results. You must be skilled in repairing stars, bullseyes, combination breaks, cracks, and scratches in windows and windshields. You must comply with all company safety protocols and quality control standards at all times. You must be able to work effectively within a team setting to achieve shared departmental objectives. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements for this role.
