About the role
CarGurus is establishing a new technology hub in Dublin and seeks a Senior Product Manager to join its founding team in Ireland. You will own the strategy and execution of dealer-facing initiatives for our international marketplaces in Canada and the UK while playing a pivotal role in defining the culture and operational standards of our new Dublin office. This position requires you to manage the full lifecycle of marketplace products, ensuring that dealer outcomes are consistently improved through data and user research. You will act as the primary liaison between the Dublin engineering team and international stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver high-impact features. The role involves exploring greenfield opportunities specific to international customer needs and translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear product requirements. You will synthesize complex data sets to drive product priorities that enhance the dealer experience across multiple regions. Collaboration with design, data science, and analytics teams will be essential to validate hypotheses and iterate on solutions. Ultimately, you will ensure that product initiatives align with both consumer-side leadership goals and the day-to-day needs of our dealer community.

What you'll do
- Manage the strategy and roadmap for dealer-focused marketplace products across international markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Direct cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from initial discovery and design phases to final launch and post-launch iteration.
- Collaborate with the Dublin Engineering Manager to build and deliver high-impact product features that solve real dealer problems.
- Research and develop greenfield opportunities tailored for international customer bases, identifying gaps and new avenues for growth.
- Analyze marketplace performance metrics and user research findings to identify improvements that enhance dealer outcomes and satisfaction.
- Partner with Design, Data Science, and Analytics teams to translate research findings into actionable requirements and technical specifications.
- Align product initiatives with consumer-side leadership to ensure a cohesive platform experience across all marketplaces.
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success teams to facilitate successful product rollouts and adoption.
- Monitor the impact of product changes on business goals and dealer success, using insights to inform future strategy and prioritization.
- Drive the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to support ongoing product optimization and hypothesis testing.
- Establish clear documentation and communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of product progress and key decisions.
- Champion a user-centric mindset within the team, ensuring that dealer needs remain central to every product decision.
- Identify and mitigate risks early in the product development process, proposing alternative solutions when necessary.
- Contribute to the development of operational standards and best practices for the new Dublin office, fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management within fast-paced environments, demonstrating consistent delivery of impactful initiatives.
- Proven track record of owning products from concept through to launch and iteration, with measurable outcomes to support success.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear product priorities and requirements that guide cross-functional teams.
- Strong ownership mindset with the capability to align cross-functional stakeholders toward shared objectives and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with both technical and non-technical partners, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces, making informed decisions with incomplete information.
- Strong customer empathy regarding the needs of dealers and consumers, using insights to drive product decisions.
- Experience working with data and user research to inform hypotheses, validate assumptions, and measure product performance.
