About the Role
This position grants ownership of Careem's ERP function, spanning financials, procurement, human capital management, and system integrations. You will operate directly within production environments, triaging issues and approving critical requests while simultaneously managing personnel and vendor relationships. In this role, you will use artificial intelligence tools to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks within a dynamic, high-velocity setting. The position demands hands-on leadership where personal involvement in resolution and decision-making remains central to departmental success. You will be responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives that modernize the end-to-end ERP landscape and enhance operational excellence. This role requires a strategic mindset to align technology capabilities with business objectives across a multi-country footprint. You will serve as a key architect in optimizing core business processes to support scalable growth and efficiency. Your leadership will ensure that the ERP ecosystem supports agility, compliance, and robust data governance.
Key Facts
The role is based in Karachi, Pakistan. It is a full-time engagement with a monthly compensation of 250,000 PKR.
What You'll Do
You will lead cross-functional initiatives to map and refine finance, procurement, and human resources workflows within Oracle Fusion processes. Governance will be strengthened by mandating JIRA tracking for all tasks, with you personally maintaining the enforcement sheet to ensure team visibility and accountability. Driving automation initiatives will involve evaluating robotic process automation and artificial intelligence opportunities to reduce manual effort in procurement and HR operations. You will orchestrate quarterly planning for the ERP department, setting capacity targets and aligning resources across financial and integration streams. Strengthening collaboration with the Oracle vendor will be a core responsibility, including managing the partnership and negotiating support terms to ensure swift resolution of production issues. You will facilitate knowledge transfer by leading learning sessions that circulate upgrade guides and integration patterns across finance and IT teams. Resolving complex access issues will require personal approval or rejection of sensitive purchase requisitions and access requests, based on risk and compliance considerations. Troubleshooting Oracle Integration Cloud failures and account problems will be performed directly, with coordination from security teams to restore service for both internal and external users. You will oversee the configuration and optimization of Quik and human capital management modules to ensure they meet evolving business needs. Ensuring data integrity and system reliability will be achieved through rigorous testing and validation of changes prior to deployment. You will coordinate with finance stakeholders to ensure that financial processes are accurately represented in the ERP environment. Leading continuous improvement efforts will involve analyzing key performance indicators and implementing corrective actions where necessary. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of integration projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support. Driving adherence to regulatory and internal control requirements will be a fundamental aspect of your responsibilities in this role.
Requirements
Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Financials, procurement (Quik), human capital management, and integration platforms such as Oracle OIC is mandatory. Deep expertise in Oracle Identity Cloud Service, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Okta is required to independently triage and resolve account and access issues. Proven experience in managing ERP operations and handling employee lifecycle events in collaboration with People teams is essential. You must demonstrate a history of leading complex ERP initiatives in a fast-paced technology-driven environment. Strong knowledge of financial processes, procurement workflows, and HR operations within an ERP context is required. The ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications is critical for success in this position. Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex system issues are necessary. You must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. A high level of accountability and ownership for outcomes is expected in all aspects of the role.
