Cardless is on the lookout for a dedicated Program Launch Manager to lead the rollout of innovative credit card programs for prominent brands. This pivotal role involves orchestrating all facets of a program launch, ensuring a seamless transition from the initial agreement to the moment customers receive their cards. As the driving force behind complex projects, you will play a crucial role in steering them toward successful completion.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the entire launch process for new brand programs, managing everything from signed contracts to the issuance of cards.
- Develop and uphold the launch timeline, pinpointing dependencies, assigning tasks, and acting as the primary source of information for all stakeholders involved.
- Execute daily launch operations, which include conducting standup meetings, synchronizing with partners, and providing updates to executives.
- Actively identify and address challenges, escalating issues along with proposed solutions when necessary.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of each functional area's role in a launch, including credit policy, program setup, rewards design, funding, compliance, fraud prevention, servicing, and card fulfillment.
- Pay close attention to details that may be overlooked by others, such as unreviewed disclosures, untested scenarios, or unassigned vendor tasks.
- Act as the main launch contact for brand partners, coordinating shared plans across both organizations to ensure alignment.
- Manage deliverables from issuing banks, card networks, processors, and various vendors, taking into account their specific timelines and requirements.
- Ensure that all external parties meet agreed-upon deadlines, mirroring the accountability expected internally.
Requirements
- 2-6 years of experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects in roles such as launch management, program management, operations, consulting, banking, or early-stage startup operations.
- Proven track record of leading at least one project that involved five or more distinct parties working towards a single deadline, with personal responsibility for the overall outcome.
- Adequate exposure to the fintech, payments, or financial services sectors, enabling a solid understanding of industry terminology and concepts.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot discrepancies in dates, figures, or incomplete requirements.
- Capability to navigate and understand discussions across various functions, such as engineering integrations and compliance disclosures, while facilitating effective communication among them.
- Ability to remain calm and effective when unexpected challenges arise close to launch, adapting plans and communicating changes clearly.
