Product Marketing Manager, Brand Partnerships
Job description
About the role
Cardless is a Series C consumer fintech that makes it easy for the world's largest brands to build credit cards into their ecosystems. Think Shopify, but for credit cards. Brands use Cardless to configure, launch, and grow credit card programs that delight their customers and strengthen their core business. Customers include Coinbase, Bilt Rewards, Alibaba, Qatar Airways, and LATAM Airlines. Cardless powers cards on all three major networks (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express) and uses AI-powered servicing to operate at a fraction of the headcount traditional card issuers require. The company has scaled from $10 million to $150 million in run rate revenue in the past 12 months. Cardless raised a $60 million Series C led by Spark Capital in September 2025, bringing total funding past $170 million. The team is past 50 people and scaling toward profitability by year-end 2026.
The role centers on making the partnership pitch visually concrete for every external audience. You own the visual narrative that turns abstract product strategy into assets that partners and investors can immediately understand. You translate dense product and business concepts into clear, on-brand visuals that accelerate deal momentum. This position sits at the intersection of brand integrity, product accuracy, and commercial execution, requiring you to ship high-quality output under tight timelines. You will act as the visual translator between product, sales, and leadership, ensuring that every deck, mockup, and dashboard feels cohesive and persuasive.
What you'll do
Design and maintain a living library of partner pitch decks that adapt to specific audiences while preserving core brand and data integrity.
Translate complex product and business mechanics into visual stories that resonate with both technical evaluators and executive sponsors.
Own the full production lifecycle of presentation materials, moving from brief to polished deck with the speed required for active sales cycles.
Collaborate with partnerships and business development to surface partner priorities and reflect them accurately in materials and narratives.
Build high-fidelity Figma mockups of card products, cardholder interfaces, and partner dashboards that make abstract features feel tangible.
Create presentation-ready decks using PowerPoint, Figma, and other relevant tools to ensure materials are polished and technically precise.
Maintain a reusable library of design elements, documents, and templates that speed up production without degrading quality.
Rapidly iterate on visuals based on feedback from sales calls, partner reviews, and internal stakeholder input.
Contribute to product discussions with enough depth to translate decisions into accurate visual representations for external audiences.
Surface product constraints and opportunities early, aligning sales narratives with what engineering is realistically building.
Own the Cardless visual identity across all external touchpoints, including pitch decks, one-pagers, event collateral, and social assets.
Use AI design tools strategically to accelerate production while preserving craft, clarity, and brand coherence.
Build repeatable processes and templates that remove bottlenecks and enable the team to produce consistent work at scale.
Ensure every asset leaving the organization reflects the level of detail and polish that Cardless brand positioning demands.
Think through the implications of product choices before they appear in front of partners or investors, preventing misalignment between sales and delivery.
Requirements
3-6 years of product marketing or design experience with a portfolio showing high-quality work in presentations, product design, and brand materials.
Meaningful experience working alongside commercial teams, such as a design agency serving financial or tech clients, an in-house startup role, or a position with direct exposure to sales and business development.
Experience marketing and designing for financial services or fintech is a strong indicator of suitability - you should be able to design a card product without needing to be taught what a credit card number or statement looks like.
You are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on production, moving between big-picture brand decisions and detailed layout adjustments.
You communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats, with the discipline to document decisions and maintain version control for key assets.
You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable making decisions that keep momentum in multi-stakeholder conversations.
You are meticulous about accuracy, especially when representing financial products, data, and regulatory considerations to external audiences.
You are proactive in flagging risks, inconsistencies, or misalignment between teams before they affect external deliverables.
Nice to have
Fluency with current AI design tools and an understanding of their limitations for brand-sensitive work.
Experience contributing to product roadmaps by identifying constraints and opportunities that may not be obvious to pure product teams.
Practical notes
This role is full_time based in San Francisco.
