Software Engineer

About the role

This role builds and scales healthcare billing products as part of a fast growing engineering team. You own the full software development lifecycle to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that serve customers. The position targets experienced engineers who craft robust systems in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment.

Software engineers turn product ideas into working code. Engineers work in small teams, review each other's work, and ship in small batches. Most teams follow agile practices such as sprints and daily standups. Engineers also write tests, fix bugs, and improve performance. The field values clear communication as much as technical skill. Engineers spend part of every week on planning, code review, and debugging, not just writing new code. The ability to explain a technical decision in plain words separates strong engineers from the rest.

Requirements

Hold a Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Art in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or similar degree. Bring 3+ years of experience in software engineering roles. Demonstrate strong communication skills to explain complex ideas clearly in person and in writing.

Experience with Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, React, Typescript, Google Cloud Platform, Auth0, Terraform.

Practical notes

This role is based in San Francisco and requires onsite presence as defined by our policy. The position is full-time with an estimated compensation range of $140,000 to $220,000 and may include equity and other rewards. Typical interview steps
