About the role

This position is centered within the Technology Platform Engineering department, where the primary mission is to construct and refine the internal tools and services that empower all engineering teams at C6 Bank. The role owner is responsible for driving standardization in architecture and automating complex workflows to elevate the entire developer experience. By focusing on efficiency and security, this position ensures that product delivery across the organization is as smooth and reliable as possible. The hire will act as a key enabler, removing bottlenecks and fostering an environment where engineering teams can maximize their potential. A core part of this role involves owning the lifecycle of internal platforms, from initial design through continuous evolution and deprecation. Success in this position will be measured by the reduction of friction experienced by developers and the acceleration of high-quality software releases. The individual will bridge the gap between operational excellence and developer needs, translating complex technical challenges into intuitive platform solutions. This is a strategic role that directly influences the technical health and velocity of the entire company.

What you'll do

• Implement strategic enhancements to the developer experience, focusing on productivity and quality improvements across all engineering teams.
• Design, build, and maintain a comprehensive suite of metrics, indicators, and dashboards that provide deep insights for data-driven decision-making.
• Lead the governance, standardization, and evolutionary roadmap for our critical internal engineering platforms and services.
• Architect, develop, and maintain internal tools specifically engineered to eliminate friction points throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Author clear, accessible, and high-quality technical documentation that captures knowledge, best practices, and architectural decisions for broad consumption.
• Actively partner with multiple engineering teams to diagnose pain points, analyze workflows, and implement sustainable continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage in high-impact technical decision-making processes to guarantee the long-term reliability, scalability, and security of our platform solutions.
• Champion the adoption of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices, fostering a culture of automation and shared responsibility.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and translate their potential value into concrete platform capabilities for internal consumers.
• Ensure all platform deliverables align with stringent security and compliance standards required for financial services.
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor, elevating the skills of other engineers through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Own the definition and tracking of platform health, identifying bottlenecks and driving resolutions proactively.

Requirements

• Bring strong development experience using at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, Kotlin, or Java, demonstrating a deep understanding of software design principles.
• Possess practical, hands-on experience working with major Cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or OCI, including their core services and architectural patterns.
• Show a deep, ingrained understanding of CI/CD practices and a genuine DevOps mindset, with a proven track record of automating pipelines.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing and operating systems, specifically Linux and/or Windows, in production environments.
• Have solid, real-world experience with observability practices, including the collection, analysis, and interpretation of logs, metrics, and tracing data.
• Maintain a solid and comprehensive grasp of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, encompassing version control, code reviews, and pipeline management.
• Exhibit a history of working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage cloud resources in a reliable and scalable manner.
• Show commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and collaborating effectively within agile team structures.
• Possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues in distributed systems.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating requirements into technical solutions.

Nice to have

• Bring direct experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform, for managing cloud infrastructure.
• Possess a background in container orchestration and have hands-on experience with Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.
• Have previous work history in Platform Engineering roles or specific Developer Experience initiatives within a similar context.

The selected candidate will work full-time hours at our São Paulo office. This role does not involve travel requirements.
