What you'll do

• Lead the development and implementation of IT security strategies to protect organizational data and systems from cyber threats.
• Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security tools and technologies, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective against emerging threats.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that security policies and practices are integrated into all business processes.
• Develop and deliver training programs for employees on security best practices and awareness.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all IT security incidents, leading investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Stay informed about the latest security trends, threats, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on security incidents, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management.
• Manage vendor relationships for security products and services, ensuring that contracts align with organizational needs.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts to ensure minimal disruption in case of incidents.
• Support the overall IT strategy by aligning security initiatives with business objectives and technology advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security management or a related role.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
• Proven experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in managing IT projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience in cloud security and managing security in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Knowledge of network security protocols and technologies.
• Familiarity with incident response and forensic analysis techniques.
• Experience in developing and implementing security awareness programs.
• Previous experience in a regulated industry is a plus.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Ability to work with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
