What you'll do

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for various software applications to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers to understand application architecture and design, facilitating effective testing strategies.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing approaches and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders regarding quality metrics and project status.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.
• Assist in the development of user acceptance testing (UAT) plans and coordinate UAT sessions with end-users.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with performance testing tools is a plus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are advantageous.
• Experience in a startup environment or working with cross-functional teams is a plus.
