What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure that supports our continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of our services.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate deployments and configurations.
• Implement security best practices across the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems and respond to incidents promptly.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure optimal resource allocation and system efficiency.
• Document infrastructure processes, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline workflows and improve deployment pipelines.
• Engage in regular code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the codebase.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on cloud environments.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud resources.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks and system management.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools, with experience in implementing automated deployment pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact system performance.

Nice to have

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of database management systems and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Previous experience in a startup environment, with an understanding of the challenges and dynamics involved.
