What you'll do

Design and implement comprehensive data architectures that support the organization's strategic goals and operational needs.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and maintain data models, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability.
Evaluate and select appropriate data management technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance data processing capabilities.
Establish best practices for data governance, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Lead the development of ETL processes to facilitate the movement and transformation of data across systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain high availability and performance.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data architects and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data architecture and analytics, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our offerings.
Participate in client engagements, presenting data architecture solutions and strategies that align with their business objectives.
Document data architecture designs, processes, and standards to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement robust data security measures and disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or a related role.
Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing solutions.
Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in relation to data services.
Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of successfully delivering data architecture projects on time and within budget.

Nice to have

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in data architecture.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Previous experience in a consulting environment, working with diverse clients across various industries.
Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
