What you'll do
- Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks tailored to meet the specific needs of clients across various industries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data ownership, data stewardship, and data quality metrics that align with business objectives.
- Conduct assessments of existing data management practices and identify areas for improvement to enhance data integrity and compliance.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate teams on data governance principles and best practices, fostering a culture of data accountability.
- Create and maintain documentation related to data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.
- Monitor and report on data governance initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to senior management on progress and areas requiring attention.
- Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure that data governance policies are effectively integrated into data architecture and workflows.
- Assist in the development of data quality frameworks, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation processes to ensure high-quality data outputs.
- Engage with regulatory bodies and industry groups to stay informed about evolving data governance regulations and standards, ensuring compliance for clients.
- Support the implementation of data privacy and protection measures in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR.
- Analyze data usage patterns and trends to provide actionable insights that drive data-driven decision-making within client organizations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic recommendations on data governance tools and technologies that can enhance their data management capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations, such as GDPR, and their implications for data governance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data issues into actionable solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with data governance tools and technologies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Czech or other languages is a plus.
Nice to have
- Certification in data governance or related fields (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
- Experience with data quality management tools and techniques.
