Principal Product Manager
Job description
About the role
The Principal Product Manager, Enterprise Transformation owns the end-to-end success of a product area from discovery through delivery and market validation. You act as a Mini-Founder, making fast decisions with incomplete data to ensure strong market fit and meaningful user value. This role is tailored for builders who live inside AI tools daily and operate with a sense of urgency in execution. You will translate abstract strategy into concrete product outcomes while balancing enterprise demands with end-user experience. You are expected to show up with credibility, build deep trust, and drive clarity among complex stakeholders.
Key facts
What you'll do
You will architect a three-year vision and translate it into a three-week execution plan that keeps momentum alive. When value stalls in the market, you will diagnose the root cause and drive a targeted response without losing confidence in the product. You will spend more than half your time in external-facing activities, running solution design sessions and delivering compelling product demos to enterprise buyers and end-users. You will build authentic trust and credibility with key executive stakeholders through consistent follow-through and insight. You will prototype working demos using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Replit, and Figma before engineering commits a single sprint. You will run hypothesis-driven experiments, intentionally kill what is not working, and redirect course with calm clarity. You will decide and move forward with imperfect information, listening closely, synthesizing inputs, deciding, and acting without delay. When you are wrong, you will course-correct quickly and never stall the momentum of the product. You will lead a cross-functional pod including a PM/GPM, PMM Lead, GTM Lead, and an embedded R&D team with an Engineering Lead, Design Lead, Product Analyst, and TPM. You will set the product direction and ensure partners execute against your vision with productive tension and alignment. You will ensure science-backed practices are followed in the experience working with BetterUp Labs and People Insights Consultants, delivering real outcomes for the Partner Value teams. You will also ensure your product fits into the broader portfolio by leveraging shared platform capabilities and aligning roadmaps with peer product leaders. You will drive synergies across the platform to enhance the overall value delivered to customers and stakeholders. You will define and track product success metrics, ensuring the product delivers measurable business value over time. You will communicate progress against outcomes to leadership and facilitate transparent risk discussions when trade-offs are required. You will guard the portfolio by using shared platform capabilities and aligning roadmaps with peer product leaders to avoid duplication and maximize impact.
Requirements
You must have eight or more years in product management or related roles, with at least four years leading product direction at the team or product-area level. You must demonstrate clear ownership of product-market fit, diagnosing why something is not landing, changing course, and making it work successfully. This is not only about shipping features on time, but about finding the right fit with the market. You must have experience building products in B2B2C environments, understanding how to sell to enterprise buyers while building for the end-users those buyers serve. You have navigated the tension between buyer requirements and user experience, balancing competing demands with integrity. You have direct, sustained customer exposure in enterprise contexts, having been in the room with economic buyers and built those relationships yourself. You have used that signal to drive product direction and influenced outcomes based on real customer behavior. You have domain expertise in organizational transformation, human transformation, talent intelligence, or related fields, which is considered a plus for this role.
Skills and Competencies
You operate with relentless agency, taking full ownership when something is not working and fixing it rather than pointing to external factors or waiting for someone else to act. You balance humility about what you do not know with a relentless commitment to figure it out anyway and move toward resolution. You possess exceptional executive presence and storytelling ability, building trust and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You have strong product vision and strategic thinking, with a history of delivering impactful results in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information while maintaining clarity for others on the path forward. You communicate with precision and empathy, ensuring that diverse stakeholders understand trade-offs and rationale without losing momentum. You exhibit resilience under pressure, staying calm and focused when facing ambiguity, setbacks, or shifting priorities. You collaborate generously, creating space for diverse perspectives while still driving toward a clear and executable decision.
Nice to have
Preferred experience in science-backed practices related to organizational and human transformation is valued for this role.
