Principal Product Designer, Partner Experience
Job description
About the role
BetterUp is seeking a Principal Product Designer to define and own the visual and strategic direction of Partner Experience, a critical B2B surface that enterprise decision-makers rely on to engage with coaching at scale. This role is responsible for shaping the end-to-end design of Partner Hub, Performance Intelligence, and analytics surfaces that turn complex behavioral and performance data into clear, actionable insights. The designer in this role will act as a strategic partner to enterprise stakeholders, ensuring that intricate workflows and multi-role configurations feel intuitive, trustworthy, and aligned with business goals. You will translate ambiguous, high-stakes problems into elegant design solutions that balance depth of data with clarity of experience. This position requires a rare combination of visual craft, systems thinking, and enterprise fluency, operating at a principal level alongside senior product and engineering leaders. You will define foundational patterns that enable consistency and speed as the partner ecosystem grows, while actively contributing to the broader design culture at BetterUp. This is a role for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys navigating constraint-heavy environments, and is passionate through and through about the impact of design on organizational transformation. If you are excited by the opportunity to build the future of enterprise partner experiences from the ground up, this is your chance to leave a lasting mark on how the world engages with human potential at scale.

- Experience designing products at the intersection of data, policy, and user behavior in regulated or high-stakes environments is essential.
- Experience working within a hybrid operating model that requires intentional in-person collaboration a minimum number of days per month.
- Familiarity with coaching, learning and development domains, and an understanding of how behavioral science informs product decisions.
