This role centers on owning the end-to-end sales cycle for enterprise clients across the EMEA region, driving both new business and strategic expansion from initial contact to renewal. You will act as the primary commercial leader, shaping the narrative around human transformation and ensuring that the value of BetterUp's offerings is clearly understood and deeply felt by every stakeholder. The hire will own the full responsibility of identifying opportunity, building trust, and converting complex enterprise needs into sustainable, long-term partnerships that reflect the mission of the company. You will be expected to challenge the status quo in how work and wellbeing are delivered, bringing fresh perspectives to every conversation you own from discovery through to implementation. This position demands a high degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining a rigorous focus on results and client success. What you'll do
Identify and engage prospective enterprise clients through strategic channels such as networking, industry events, cold calling, email campaigns, and social media, establishing a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Employ a structured and consultative selling methodology to uncover business priorities, tailor BetterUp's SaaS solutions to specific challenges, and position yourself as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders.
Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, department heads, and influential partners, developing a deep understanding of organizational structure, decision-making processes, and buying cycles.
Deliver executive-level presentations and product demonstrations, leveraging business and financial expertise to articulate a measurable and compelling return on investment through effective storytelling.
Lead complex negotiation processes, including pricing and contract terms, while collaborating closely with legal, finance, and implementation teams to ensure smooth and timely deal closure.
Orchestrate cross-functional alignment with marketing, customer success, product, and executive teams to ensure cohesive messaging, high customer satisfaction, and active participation in product roadmap development.
Utilize AI-driven tools and insights to enhance client engagement, identify growth opportunities, and improve account performance through personalization, upsell targeting, and churn prediction.
Use data analysis generated by AI to quantify impact on client outcomes such as retention, expansion, and ROI, and translate these insights into strategic account recommendations.
Maintain meticulous sales processes and forecasting accuracy by leveraging Salesforce to manage the full sales cycle, ensuring transparency and reliability in pipeline management.
Consistently over-achieve assigned sales quotas and revenue targets by adapting sales motions to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment that values innovation and execution.
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 5 years of full-cycle direct sales experience, specifically selling multi-product SaaS solutions to Fortune 500 companies, demonstrating a history of success in complex enterprise environments.
Maintain a track record of consistently over-achieving, ranking in the top 10-20% of your company in performance metrics and quota attainment.
Have personally led and closed deals with a duration of 6 months or more, involving multiple buyers and transaction values exceeding $1 million.
Demonstrate a proven ability to partner with and sell to Chief Experience Officers and other CxOs, establishing credibility and trust at the highest levels of the organization.
Show an unrelenting drive to learn, succeed, and lead by example, embodying the highest standards of professionalism and resilience in challenging situations.
Exhibit exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, specifically tailored for executive-level audiences and high-stakes discussions.
Possess high emotional intelligence (EQ) that drives empathy, sophisticated negotiation, and effective problem-solving in dynamic and sensitive enterprise scenarios.
Show technical proficiency and specific skill in using Salesforce to manage complex sales cycles, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility.
Operate in a process-driven manner, being meticulously organized and highly self-motivated to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without direct supervision.
Comfortably engage with outbound metrics, cold-calling, and aggressive pipeline generation as a core part of the daily routine.
Ability to adapt and iterate on sales approaches within a fast-paced startup selling environment that values agility and continuous feedback.
Experience creating formal agreements with prospects to build project plans and representing those outcomes through a strong forecasting cadence and rigorous pipeline management.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time as required to meet client needs and fulfill strategic business objectives across the EMEA region.
