This position is central to that disruption, responsible for building the operational engine that powers a new retirement paradigm. You will architect and manage the systems that turn complex regulatory requirements into scalable, automated client onboarding journeys. The role demands fluency in both technology and compliance, ensuring every employer setup is precise and efficient. You will be the primary operator managing the end-to-end deployment of Basic Capital's solutions, serving as the vital link between the company and its corporate clients. What you'll do
You will govern the entire onboarding lifecycle for every new employer engagement. This involves direct responsibility for initial plan configuration, managing complex recordkeeper transfer processes, and integrating with a wide array of payroll platforms. A core function is the creation of automated, programmatic infrastructure. You will design and deploy AI and tool-driven systems intended to exponentially increase client processing capacity without requiring a linear growth in personnel. You will own the configuration of plan compliance frameworks and adoption documentation, directly shaping the participant experience and the viability of each plan. A significant component of the position is leading educational initiatives, positioning yourself as the central expert on Basic Capital's offerings for client stakeholders. You will also direct high-level communication strategies, ensuring alignment and clarity between plan administrators and executive sponsors. The role requires you to coordinate cross-functional validation sessions with product, legal, and data teams to confirm that all operational constraints are satisfied. You will construct and launch dependable onboarding workflows, balancing the need for rapid deployment with uncompromising accuracy.
Requirements
You will manage the setup and migration of 401(k) plans for client organizations spanning from small businesses to large national enterprises. A fundamental requirement is the ability to convert isolated, manual procedures into standardized, repeatable operational programs. You are expected to utilize artificial intelligence, automation, and digital tooling to multiply individual productivity output. Proficiency with data, APIs, and technical collaboration is mandatory for validating plan logic and ensuring regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate has a history of operating in fintech or high-growth technology environments where ambiguity is inherent. You must communicate with precision and confidence with both administrative staff and executive leadership, even when navigating complex or unresolved challenges. A rapid capacity to master new software platforms and select the most effective tool for specific operational demands is essential. Consistent presence in the Tribeca, New York office for a full five-day workweek is required.
Nice to have
Proven experience conducting 401(k) implementations and managing recordkeeper transitions for plans of varying sizes. A demonstrated history of building internal operational tooling, automations, or AI-centric systems that eliminate redundant tasks. Familiarity with plan document administration and adoption agreement software platforms. Prior work experience within fintech ecosystems where speed, iterative development, and compliance are interdependent.
