This Real Estate Associate position is embedded within the Dallas office of a prominent national AmLaw 100 firm, where the practice is intensely focused on commercial real estate transactions. What you'll do
Draft and review complex commercial real estate documentation, including purchase agreements, loan documents, leases, and development agreements, ensuring strict adherence to firm standards and client instructions.
Perform detailed due diligence on commercial property transactions, analyzing titles, surveys, environmental reports, and financial statements to identify and communicate risks to the transaction team.
Coordinate closely with borrowers, lenders, brokers, and other third parties to gather information, respond to requests, and keep all parties aligned on transaction milestones and deadlines.
Manage the administrative aspects of real estate financings, including collateral documentation, UCC filings, and compliance with lender requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Support the structuring of joint ventures and leasing transactions, drafting operating agreements, management contracts, and related corporate documents as required by the deal.
Handle dispositions and acquisitions of both single asset and portfolio-level commercial properties, ensuring seamless transfer of title and compliance with contractual conditions.
Provide comprehensive support for development projects, from initial formation agreements to construction and expansion documentation, while maintaining awareness of local regulatory requirements.
Process transactions involving renewable energy infrastructure, ensuring that all agreements reflect the specific technical and financial structures unique to this sector.
Maintain rigorous organizational systems for transaction files, utilizing digital tools to track versions, deadlines, and outstanding items with precision.
Communicate proactively with the people team regarding policy updates, compliance training, and documentation of employee transactions as they relate to firm operations.
Requirements
Must be admitted to the Texas State Bar or eligible for admission through a waiver process, as this authorization is non-negotiable for the jurisdiction.
Possess a minimum of six years of post-qualification experience focused on commercial real estate practice.
Demonstrate concrete experience in acquisitions, dispositions, and borrower financing for commercial properties across diverse market types.
Show national-level competence in handling single asset and portfolio transactions, including sophisticated financings and varied capital stack structures.
Have direct experience with leasing, development, joint ventures, and renewable energy transactions to support a broad range of client needs.
Exhibit strong attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume work without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
Operate effectively within a collaborative team environment, communicating clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
