About the role

The Staff Attorney - eDiscovery will own the end-to-end management of electronic discovery workflows within high-stakes litigation, ensuring strict adherence to court-imposed deadlines and client strategies. This role requires independent judgment to assess the viability of eDiscovery requests, responses, and objections while maintaining alignment with overarching case goals. You will serve as a tactical and operational lead, translating complex litigation needs into precise technical and procedural execution. The ideal professional will collaborate seamlessly with partners, co-counsel, and expert witnesses to build a defensible and efficient discovery process. You will be accountable for quality control across all phases of preservation, collection, and production, mitigating risk before it reaches the courtroom. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, where analytical rigor directly influences case outcomes. What you'll do

• Drive the strategic implementation of discovery protocols across multiple active cases, adapting workflows to meet specific litigation demands.
• Execute the identification and preservation of electronically stored information in complex matters, ensuring compliance with legal hold procedures.
• Oversee the collection and processing of ESI using advanced platforms, validating data integrity and completeness for downstream review.
• Conduct sophisticated responsiveness and privilege analysis, applying consistent coding standards to manage large volumes of documents.
• Design and run targeted searches and analytical queries to isolate critical evidence, leveraging technology to streamline document sets.
• Manage technology-assisted review and analytics tools, refining models to improve accuracy and reduce manual review burdens.
• Partner with litigation teams to develop tailored review strategies, balancing defensibility with cost-effective production methods.
• Prepare detailed draft responses to discovery requests, including objections for confidentiality challenges and comprehensive privilege logs.
• Organize and index key documents to support deposition and trial preparation, ensuring rapid retrieval during high-pressure moments.
• Produce fact summaries, case chronologies, and strategic analyses that clarify complex timelines for internal decision-makers.
• Coordinate production deliverables, overseeing the final stages of document review and formatting to meet court and client specifications.
• Implement quality assurance measures throughout the eDiscovery lifecycle, minimizing the risk of sanctions or adverse inferences.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, translating eDiscovery metrics into actionable business decisions.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging trends, court rulings, and best practices that impact electronic discovery in mass torts and class actions.

Requirements

• Possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and hold active admission in good standing with the State Bar.
• Bring a minimum of 2+ years of focused litigation experience centered on eDiscovery, litigation support, or complex litigation matters.
• Demonstrate prior experience in personal injury, product liability, and mass tort litigation, while medical malpractice or commercial litigation backgrounds will also be considered.
• Show proven proficiency with leading eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, Disco, or equivalent enterprise software.
• Highlight familiarity with technology-assisted review, advanced analytics tools, and data visualization methodologies as a distinct advantage.
• Exhibit exceptional communication abilities, combining clear written expression with meticulous attention to detail in all deliverables.
