About the role
You will define and own the product strategy and roadmap for next-generation insurance solutions that modernize claims processing. You will partner cross-functionally with design, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable product plans. In this role, you will champion innovation by exploring emerging technologies and approaches to deliver exceptional user experiences for claimants and insurers. You will leverage data and research to drive decisions, measure success, and continuously improve user engagement and business outcomes. You will lead the full product lifecycle from discovery and definition through delivery, iteration, and scale with a bias for execution. You will communicate clearly and effectively, translating intricate concepts into actionable plans for both internal and external stakeholders. You will build trust and influence across teams, driving alignment without direct authority to ensure successful execution.

What you'll do
- Investigate and synthesize user research and claims data to uncover pain points and define product opportunities that move the needle on engagement and outcomes.
- Architect the product strategy and define the roadmap, balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility to maximize impact.
- Translate ambiguous problems into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that guide engineering and design teams.
- Orchestrate collaboration across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and efficient execution.
- Analyze product performance using metrics and experiments, identifying insights and opportunities to iterate and improve the user journey.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies, prototyping and testing innovative concepts to address high-stakes claims scenarios.
- Prioritize features and initiatives based on trade-off analysis, managing scope and dependencies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for the product, articulating vision, progress, and results to executives, stakeholders, and partners.
- Partner with customer support and operations to incorporate feedback, resolve issues, and enhance the overall claims experience.
- Monitor competitive landscape and market trends, informing strategic decisions and positioning Assured as a leader in insurance technology.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements and validate assumptions with cross-functional teams.
- Define success metrics and establish reporting cadences to track progress and demonstrate value to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members on product best practices, fostering a culture of learning and rigorous thinking.
- Drive the execution of product launches, coordinating go-to-market activities and ensuring a smooth rollout.
- Maintain a deep understanding of insurance regulations and compliance requirements to guide product decisions appropriately.
- Explore opportunities to enhance digital experiences, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and comfort for claimants during stressful interactions.
- Lead data-driven initiatives to optimize fraud detection and claims orchestration, improving outcomes for large-scale operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of successfully leading products through the full lifecycle.
- 3+ years of experience in the insurance, financial services, or regulated industries, demonstrating familiarity with claims processing and compliance.
- 2+ years of experience working with machine learning models or data-intensive products, understanding their capabilities and limitations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable working with ambiguity and making decisions with limited data.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, speaking their language and understanding technical constraints.
- Proven experience using metrics and experimentation to inform strategy and measure product success.

Practical notes
This role is full-time and remote. There may be occasional travel for team offsites or company events. Employment is at-will. Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the role is based.
