Senior Backend Engineer for Creators group
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end delivery of features that power the creator economy on Apify, translating abstract product ideas into reliable backend systems that directly impact how creators build and monetize their tools. You will design and implement the core logic that drives Actor publishing, monetization, and analytics, ensuring these systems scale as the community grows and as new agentic workflows emerge. You will collaborate daily with product managers and frontend engineers to refine requirements, challenge assumptions, and deliver incremental value in short, focused cycles. You will leverage your deep Node.js and TypeScript expertise to build maintainable, testable services that make the platform more intuitive and powerful for thousands of developers. You will also act as a technical owner for key projects, from initial discovery through deployment and post-launch optimization, while contributing back to the open source ecosystem. You will use the Apify platform every day as a power user, giving you direct insight into the problems creators face and the motivation to continuously improve the experience.
