- Negotiate complex contract terms and pricing structures that balance commercial viability with the regulatory realities of US Government procurement.
- Orchestrate targeted outreach campaigns to key procurement and program management stakeholders across multiple agency hierarchies.
- Synthesize competitive threat analysis to refine positioning and ensure Apex maintains decisive advantages in bid and proposal scenarios.
- Drive the development of capture plans, win strategies, and differentiated messaging frameworks for every priority opportunity in the pipeline.
- Partner with solutions engineering and technical teams to validate system architectures against evolving mission requirements and standards.
- Track and report on pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and commercial performance metrics to guide executive decision-making.
- Represent Apex at high-visibility industry forums, policy briefings, and government symposiums to elevate thought leadership and brand authority.
- Establish and maintain structured feedback loops with customer contacts to inform iterative improvements in product strategy and commercial approach.
- Champion a culture of disciplined execution and data-driven decision-making across all commercial activities and stakeholder interactions.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business development or sales leadership roles within the US Government space sector.
- Demonstrate a consistent history of achieving quota attainment and exceeding performance targets in high-pressure enterprise sales environments.
- Possess extensive expertise in managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving federal agencies and prime contractors.
- Maintain a sophisticated understanding of the satellite industry ecosystem, including funding mechanisms, acquisition pathways, and prime-subcontractor contractual frameworks.
- Exhibit comfort and adaptability while operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly shifting startup contexts under tight deadlines.
- Meet U.S. Person status requirements as mandated by national security regulations governing access to export-controlled information and technology.
- Secure the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance at the level required for access to classified program data.
- Commit to an unpredictable travel schedule that includes frequent trips to government facilities, industry conferences, and stakeholder engagements across the United States.
- Adhere to strict compliance standards related to export control laws, ITAR regulations, and internal corporate governance policies.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to articulate highly technical concepts to non-technical decision-makers.
