What you'll do
- Conduct theoretical and experimental research in quantum mechanics, focusing on the development of new quantum algorithms and protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to design and implement quantum systems and experiments.
- Analyze experimental data and develop models to predict the behavior of quantum systems under various conditions.
- Contribute to the publication of research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at international conferences.
- Participate in the development of prototypes for quantum devices, ensuring they meet performance specifications and operational requirements.
- Engage with external partners and stakeholders to foster collaboration and explore potential applications of quantum technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers and interns, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in quantum physics and related fields, integrating new knowledge into ongoing projects.
- Assist in grant writing and funding proposals to secure financial support for research initiatives.

Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Quantum Mechanics, or a related field with a strong focus on quantum theory and applications.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in quantum research, either in an academic or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB for data analysis and simulation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with quantum computing platforms and tools, such as Qiskit or Cirq, is highly desirable.
- Experience with experimental techniques in quantum optics or solid-state physics is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about scientific challenges.
