About the role
You will own the complete lifecycle of enterprise audio visual systems for Anthropic's expanding EMEA footprint from initial concept through final sign off. This role designs and programs the technology that allows our teams to collaborate seamlessly across offices, ensuring every room feels connected and productive. You will translate high level product goals into robust AV architectures that support research discussions, all hands events, and day to day work. The position requires you to establish repeatable patterns and standards so that new spaces can be brought online quickly and reliably. You will be the technical authority shaping how cutting edge AI research teams communicate across continents. This role gives you direct influence over the user experience of thousands of employees and remote collaborators. You will balance innovation with operational stability to keep mission critical systems running smoothly every day.
Key facts
What you'll do
Lead end to end AV design, procurement, and programming for new office builds, expansions, and retrofits across the global portfolio.
Create and maintain detailed AV system designs including schematic drawings, line diagrams, and elevation plans that are clear and actionable.
Program and commission AV systems to meet specific use cases and user requirements, ensuring behavior matches stakeholder expectations.
Execute successful first day of business deployments for new offices, guaranteeing all systems are operational for day one occupancy.
Attend build coordination meetings with architects, contractors, and workplace teams to drive AV requirements and integration details.
Innovate and test emerging AV technologies to optimize productivity and enable premium experiences for existing and upcoming spaces.
Develop automated solutions to improve system reliability and reduce operational overhead across multiple sites.
Partner with Security and IT teams to ensure AV systems meet enterprise security requirements and data protection standards.
Create comprehensive documentation for all systems including programming logic, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
Oversee operations globally to ensure seamless AV operations and service delivery standards are consistently met across locations.
Manage relationships with AV integrators and vendors to ensure project delivery stays on schedule and within scope.
Assist with AV operations support including event production and system maintenance as needed during critical business moments.
Continuously gather user feedback and use insights to refine the AV experience across conference rooms, event spaces, and collaboration areas.
Requirements
You must have 8 or more years of experience designing and implementing AV systems in an enterprise environment with a track record of delivering complex projects.
You must be proficient in control system programming utilizing the Q-Sys ecosystem or similar professional AV platforms.
You must have hands on experience with video conferencing platforms, with a strong familiarity with Google Meet and related collaboration tools.
You must be able to read and create AV technical drawings including schematics, line diagrams, and rack elevations without assistance.
You must understand digital signal processing concepts for audio, including acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction, equalization, dynamics processing, and automixing principles.
You must be familiar with enterprise video distribution, streaming technologies, and broadcast standards relevant to large scale deployments.
You must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive timelines and shifting priorities.
You must collaborate effectively with non technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
You must have excellent troubleshooting skills and be comfortable diving into complex integrated systems to identify and resolve issues quickly.
You must care deeply about creating exceptional user experiences through technology and be attentive to detail in every implementation.

Nice to have
Experience with the Logitech video conferencing ecosystem and management platforms such as Logitech Device Management.
Certifications such as Q-Sys Level 2, Crestron Certified System Designer (CCSD), or Extron Certified System Designer.
Familiarity building control scripts using Lua within the Q-Sys framework for advanced customization.
A background in broadcast production or live event engineering, bringing a strong sense of timing and audience awareness.
Experience with Netgear network switches running AV over IP solutions and enterprise networking best practices.
Practical notes
This role is based in London and requires availability during standard business hours. Travel may be required between offices and to customer sites as needed. Employment is subject to eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and appropriate visa sponsorship where applicable.
