Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the legal components of vendor agreements and assess third-party risks to ensure compliance and protect the company's interests.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including master services agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and partnership contracts.
- Create and enhance frameworks and guidelines for effective contract management, ensuring consistency and clarity across all agreements.
- Collaborate closely with teams in sales, product development, engineering, and operations to address legal issues and effectively structure agreements that meet business needs.
- Provide legal support for new business initiatives, leveraging your expertise to guide the company through complex regulatory environments.
- Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting the digital asset industry.
- Assist in the development of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in training sessions for internal stakeholders to enhance their understanding of legal considerations in commercial transactions.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all legal matters are handled with precision and attention to detail.
- Act as a liaison between the legal team and other departments, fostering a collaborative environment to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor industry trends and developments to anticipate potential legal challenges and opportunities for the company.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with a focus on financial services or corporate law.
- At least 4 years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial and vendor contracts, demonstrating a strong legal acumen.
- Proven track record of collaborating with business and cross-functional teams to effectively resolve complex legal issues.
- A keen interest in cryptocurrency, along with a foundational understanding of the industry and its regulatory landscape.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Capability to work independently with moderate supervision, balancing legal considerations with business objectives.

- Experience in negotiating agreements related to brokerage or trading activities within the financial services sector.
- Familiarity with compliance issues specific to digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
