Product Manager, Crypto
Job description
.
About the role
You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for a core crypto product surface on Alpaca's broker-as-a-service platform, directly influencing how broker-dealers, fintech applications, and institutional partners build digital asset capabilities on top of our infrastructure. This role requires you to navigate the intersection of regulated financial services and fast-moving crypto markets, ensuring that product decisions align with compliance, market structure, and partner economics. You will collaborate across engineering, compliance, legal, partnerships, and other product teams to evolve Alpaca's crypto offering in a responsible and scalable manner. A key part of your work will involve translating complex integration constraints from real developers and partners into clear, executable product requirements that balance growth opportunities with regulatory reality. You will also define and track outcomes for your product area, using data and partner feedback to iterate on features and roadmap priorities. Ultimately, your decisions will shape the experience for developers and institutions using Alpaca to power crypto trading, custody, wallet infrastructure, tokenized assets, and settlement.
Key facts
What you'll do
Define and own one core crypto product surface across trading and exchange flows, custody and wallet infrastructure, tokenized securities and RWA, or on-chain settlement and payment rails.
Drive product decisions for your area by analyzing ROI, partner demand, market structure, regulatory constraints, and build-vs-buy tradeoffs.
Contribute to the broader crypto roadmap with a focus on B2B and B2B2C surfaces, including SDKs, APIs, partner enablement, and reference integrations.
Translate partner feedback from broker-dealers, fintech apps, neobanks, and institutional clients into clear product requirements and technical specifications.
Run discovery against real integration constraints and use those insights to shape product requirements and implementation plans.
Write product requirements and partner directly with engineers to ship features to production in a high-growth, regulated platform environment.
Analyze market structure and regulatory constraints to inform product positioning and feature sets for crypto offerings.
Collaborate closely with engineering, compliance, legal, partnerships, and other product teams to take regulated crypto infrastructure from concept to scale.
Treat developers and partners as primary customers, ensuring that product decisions reflect their needs and integration realities.
Balance growth initiatives with platform economics and compliance obligations to build sustainable crypto products over time.

Experience working with broker-dealers, institutional investors, or licensed financial services providers.
Experience contributing to open-source developer platforms or API products in the financial or crypto domains.
Experience supporting B2B2C go-to-market motions and partner enablement at scale.
