Alpaca is on the lookout for a Senior Sales Engineer who will serve as the primary technical authority for the company's diverse range of products and services offered to its partners. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to bolster sales efforts for Alpaca's growing suite of offerings. The main objective is to enhance the enterprise partner base within a designated region, ensuring that clients receive the best possible support and guidance.

What you'll do
- Serve as the go-to expert on the Alpaca platform, articulating its features and benefits to various stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop a deep understanding of regional market regulations, compliance issues, and jurisdictional nuances to better serve clients.
- Engage effectively with senior executives and decision-makers, building trust and rapport.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success teams, offering technical insights and product knowledge throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Present compelling product demonstrations and technical use cases to prospective clients, instilling confidence in Alpaca's capabilities.
- Translate intricate business and technical requirements into straightforward, actionable solutions for clients.
- Create and maintain sales support documentation and materials for new product features and enhancements.
- Oversee the technical aspects of sales engagements from initiation to conclusion, including discovery sessions, solution validation, RFP responses, and client questionnaires.
- Lead the strategy and execution of product demonstrations, crafting technical narratives that resonate with potential clients.
- Travel as needed to support sales initiatives and engage with customers directly.
- Stay abreast of internal product developments and collaborate with the product team to test and roll out new features for partners.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years in a client-facing role such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Technical Product Management, or Partner Engineering.
- Experience in API-first or SaaS-first environments is essential.
- A solid technical foundation, with hands-on experience in utilizing APIs, WebSockets, Postman, Grafana, and JSON.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, ensuring clear messaging and effective client interaction.
- Ability to distill complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated capability to juggle multiple responsibilities, work autonomously, and complete tasks with minimal oversight while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Korean is a requirement.
- A proactive mindset, with a willingness to thrive in a startup atmosphere and take the initiative in establishing new workflows.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a Broker-Dealer or FinTech setting is advantageous.
- Experience in closing enterprise-level deals in collaboration with Account Executives is a plus.
- Possession of Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and/or Series 7 certifications is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Metabase is a nice addition.
- Experience with Coast, a demo software, is a plus.
- A genuine interest in expanding knowledge about the securities industry is desirable.
- Experience with the FIX eXchange protocol is a bonus.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI, ReadMe, and related documentation tools is a plus.
