What you'll do

• Track evolving insurance legislation, regulatory decisions from the ACPR, and relevant judicial rulings, converting these developments into actionable internal briefings.
• Serve as the primary legal liaison for incoming questions originating from the Care, Operations, Sales, and Product divisions, triaging issues and providing preliminary guidance.
• Maintain and refine the internal repository of legal playbooks, compliance guidelines, and standard document templates to reflect current regulatory standards.
• Perform autonomous legal research on complex social protection themes, including the mechanics of the Évin Act, portability rights, and collective coverage frameworks.
• Assist in the drafting and review of contractual clauses and partnership agreements related to insurance distribution and administration.
• Support the team in preparing responses to formal regulatory inquiries or supervisory requests from French authorities.
• Contribute to the legal assessment of new product features or distribution channels prior to launch, identifying compliance requirements early in the cycle.
• Help organize and document internal legal training sessions aimed at upskilling non-legal teams on key regulatory obligations.
• Participate in the monitoring of data protection obligations intersecting with insurance operations, coordinating with the Data Protection Officer where necessary.
• Aid in the management of external counsel relationships, including briefing preparation and invoice tracking for specific litigation or advisory matters.
• Compile comparative analyses of social protection regimes to support strategic decisions regarding international expansion or product localization.
• Ensure the legal team's knowledge management system remains current, organized, and accessible to authorized personnel across the company.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a Master 2 program specializing in Insurance Law or Social Protection Law at a recognized university.
• Demonstrated command of French group insurance regulation and the broader social protection legislative framework.
• Specific expertise regarding the Évin Law provisions, portability mechanisms, and the structuring of collective coverage contracts.
• Proven ability to distill intricate legal doctrines into clear, concise, and practical language suitable for operational teams without legal training.
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach that prioritizes business enablement while maintaining rigorous compliance standards.
• Full professional fluency in French, both written and verbal, is mandatory for daily operations and stakeholder interaction.
• Strong written communication skills in English are considered a significant asset for reviewing international documentation and collaborating with global peers.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent research streams and stakeholder requests effectively.

• Previous internship experience within an insurance undertaking, a mutual insurance company (mutuelle), or a supplementary social protection institution (institution de prévoyance).
• Familiarity with the operational constraints of a technology-driven company or startup environment.
• Exposure to the ACPR supervisory process or experience contributing to regulatory reporting files (e.g., RSR, SFCR).
• Basic understanding of GDPR principles as applied to health data processing in an insurance context.
