Alan is constructing a virtual clinic designed to deliver accessible healthcare directly to individuals, and we are currently seeking General Practitioners to join our medical chat service. In this specific role, the hired professional will provide quality medical advice through digital chat interactions while actively contributing to the medical review process of our evolving AI health companion. The hire will own the end-to-end management of patient conversations, ensuring that each exchange adheres to the highest standards of medical accuracy and empathy within the virtual environment. This position represents a significant opportunity to shape the future of digital health by testing and refining AI capabilities in a real-world clinical setting. The successful candidate will act as a key medical validator, bridging the gap between technological innovation and patient safety. Ownership of the chat workflow includes triaging user concerns and translating complex medical information into clear, actionable guidance. What you'll do
Provide medical advice via chat to Alan members, addressing a diverse range of health inquiries with precision and care.
Review and validate medical information generated for our AI health companion, ensuring outputs meet rigorous clinical standards.
Contribute to the development of AI in healthcare by offering critical feedback that enhances the reliability of algorithmic responses.
Assess user symptoms through text-based interactions, formulating differential diagnoses and recommending appropriate next steps.
Monitor ongoing conversations to identify potential risks or escalations, initiating protocols for urgent real-world medical attention when necessary.
Optimize the user experience by balancing empathetic communication with efficient, evidence-based medical decision-making.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to refine the medical knowledge base and update protocols based on emerging best practices.
Ensure strict adherence to data privacy regulations and medical ethics throughout every patient interaction in the digital space.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives aimed at continuously improving the accuracy and safety of the virtual clinic operations.
Act as a medical expert within a hybrid work structure, maintaining independence while engaging with a community of over 120 healthcare professionals.
Work within a structured medical framework that aligns with French healthcare regulations, guaranteeing compliance in all virtual consultations.
Support the integration of AI tools into clinical workflows, helping to define the boundaries and best uses of technology in patient care.
Requirements
Possess a valid General Practitioner qualification, officially recognized in France, demonstrating a comprehensive foundation in primary care medicine.
Maintain comfort with remote medicine practices, including the adaptation of clinical skills to a text-based interface without physical examinations.
Be available for a minimum of 4 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate various time zones and personal commitments.
Operate as an Independent Contractor under the statut libéral, managing your own professional obligations and fiscal responsibilities.
Exhibit genuine enthusiasm for integrating AI into medical practice, viewing technology as a tool to augment rather than replace clinical judgment.
Hold a strong belief in the impact of prevention and patient support, aligning with a model that prioritizes long-term health literacy and engagement.
