About the role
Agoda is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Supply department as an individual contributor focused on optimizing the supply ecosystem through rigorous data analysis. The successful candidate will report directly to a Senior Manager or Associate Director, translating complex business needs into actionable analytical strategies. This role requires ownership of end-to-end analytical projects, from initial scoping through to executive-ready storytelling and implementation. You will act as a bridge between technical data capabilities and business decision-making within the Supply organization. The position demands a high level of curiosity and ownership to identify inefficiencies and drive measurable improvements. You will leverage advanced quantitative methods to solve problems that directly impact the company's operational performance and supply-side health. Collaboration with regional partners, particularly in Bangkok, is a core component of this role to ensure alignment across global operations.

What you'll do
- Convert ambiguous business briefs into well-defined analytical projects by refining objectives and creating detailed storyboards for stakeholder review.
- Extract, manipulate, and interpret data from large-scale warehouses to uncover trends and present clear findings to business stakeholders.
- Identify specific growth opportunities and spearhead cross-functional initiatives designed to improve organizational efficiency and supply performance.
- Build, deploy, and scale data products and insights that empower the Supply organization to make informed, data-backed decisions.
- Automate recurring manual operational tasks using scripting and queries, while rigorously tracking efficiency gains and process improvements.
- Design and conduct A/B testing to evaluate supply-side changes and provide data-driven business recommendations based on robust evidence.
- Partner with operations and regional teams to define key metrics, ensuring alignment between analytical outputs and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks in Tableau to provide real-time visibility into supply health and performance.
- Perform deep dives into specific supply problems, diagnosing root causes and quantifying the financial or operational impact of issues.
- Communicate analytical results to non-technical audiences, translating complex findings into concise narratives and actionable steps.
- Collaborate with data engineers to improve data quality, pipeline reliability, and the overall integrity of analytical datasets.
- Support the development of forecasting models to enhance supply planning accuracy and reduce operational risk.
- Document methodologies and analytical processes to ensure reproducibility, transparency, and knowledge transfer across the team.
- Proactively identify areas for process optimization and propose solutions that leverage data and technology to reduce manual effort.
Requirements
- Bring 2 to 5+ years of professional experience in analytics, data science, strategy, or business intelligence within a relevant industry.
- Hold a Bachelor degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, engineering, science, economics, or finance from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrate advanced SQL proficiency, including the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and troubleshoot data issues.
- Show hands-on experience with data visualization tools, with a specific requirement for expertise in Tableau to build interactive dashboards.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in Python or R, combined with advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Apply knowledge of statistical modeling or machine learning techniques, including regression, hypothesis testing, and ensemble methods like random forest.
- Prove the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, influencing decisions and presenting insights to senior leadership effectively.
- Display willingness to work 2 to 3 evenings per week to accommodate coordination with the Bangkok office and regional partners across different time zones.
