What you'll do

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and tools to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and create effective test plans.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement in the software.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to enhance the quality of test scripts and overall development practices.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, providing regular updates to the team and management on the status of testing activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and methodologies to continuously improve testing processes.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge on best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
• Contribute to the development of testing standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all testing efforts.
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, providing insights on testing efforts and areas for improvement.
• Assist in the documentation of test cases, test plans, and other relevant materials to ensure comprehensive coverage and traceability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation testing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
• Experience with mobile application testing frameworks.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
