About the role
You will own the end-to-end narrative and workflow for a specific product area within the Affirm ecosystem. This role requires you to guide intake from initial concept validation through to final delivery and post-launch analysis. You will act as a strategic partner, translating raw customer and market signals into actionable product directions and compelling narratives. The position demands a business-first mindset and a proactive approach to navigating complex cross-functional environments without direct authority. Success in this remote setup will be measured by your ability to drive adoption and achieve tangible business outcomes for the company. You will be responsible for ensuring that product initiatives align with the broader strategic goals of Affirm.

What you'll do
- Serve as the primary strategist for opportunity identification within your assigned product area, uncovering hidden merchant needs.
- Conduct deep listening sessions with merchants and partners to define future product directions and validate hypotheses.
- Own the design of build workflows, working hand-in-hand with the product team to ensure feasibility and alignment.
- Partner with the product team to shape the roadmap, ensuring it is driven by data, market insights, and strategic vision.
- Run structured review cycles, analyzing behavioral data to refine product positioning and messaging for maximum clarity.
- Ensure that the company's value proposition is clear, consistent, and resonant across all merchant segments and touchpoints.
- Own the end-to-end go-to-market execution for new initiatives, managing responsibilities from beta testing through to full-scale launch.
- Partner closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure message consistency and a unified external narrative.
- Collaborate with ecosystem alliances to develop narratives that build trust, foster joint growth, and expand market reach.
- Operate with agility while managing multiple high-stakes projects, anticipating risks and maintaining momentum through careful planning.
- Use strong business acumen to connect product features directly to revenue drivers, informing strategic GTM and product decisions.
- Champion alignment across the organization by leading cross-functional meetings and resolving dependencies to keep GTM plans synchronized.
- Translate complex product capabilities into simple, compelling narratives for executives, partners, and merchants alike.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify gaps and opportunities for new product innovation.
- Act as the central hub for product communication, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 7 years of experience in product marketing or product management to the role.
- A background in Payments or Fintech is highly valued and considered a significant asset for this position.
- Possess a proven track record of launching products successfully and managing them through maturity.
- Ensure your GTM strategies demonstrate a clear impact on business metrics such as adoption, retention, and revenue.
- Apply strategic thinking to connect customer insights, market trends, and product development into coherent, executable plans.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills, allowing you to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences including executives and partners.
- Maintain a highly analytical mindset, confidently extracting and analyzing data to guide product strategy and decision-making.
- Operate autonomously in situations of ambiguity, balancing multiple priorities while keeping distributed teams coordinated.
