About the role
Zuora is looking for an engineer to join our Operations team to maintain the performance and scalability of our global SaaS platform. You will focus on building intelligent infrastructure, implementing automation, and applying modern cloud technologies to ensure operational stability.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Create automated infrastructure lifecycle management solutions using Infrastructure as Code and AI-driven tools.
- Utilize AI and machine learning for proactive performance monitoring and predictive issue resolution.
- Manage incident response and conduct root cause analysis to improve system resilience.
- Optimize system performance through dynamic scaling and telemetry instrumentation.
- Replace manual operational tasks with automated runbooks and playbooks.
- Research and integrate new cloud-native and AIOps technologies.
- Coordinate with Product Engineering, Customer Support, Global Services, Deal Desk, and Sales departments.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Python development and Linux systems administration within production environments.
- Proficiency in Linux administration, including networking, performance tuning, and service management.
- Experience writing Python scripts to automate workflows.
- Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes deployment and scaling.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting cloud-native or SaaS production environments.
- Familiarity with databases and messaging systems like Kafka, Redis, or MySQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Background in using observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
- Experience with incident management and post-incident reviews.
Nice to have
- Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, or GitOps.
- Exposure to AI/ML for anomaly detection or predictive operations.
- Certifications such as RHCSA, PCAP, Docker Certified Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or AWS/Azure/GCP credentials.
