Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Zuora.
About the role
Zuora is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to manage our global infrastructure and spearhead AI-integrated automation. You will define reliability standards and guide cross-functional teams in maintaining high-availability systems for our subscription management platform.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Establish and improve SLOs, SLIs, and resilience frameworks.
- Create AI-based automation tools for system forecasting, remediation, and issue detection.
- Manage Kubernetes platforms and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead incident response efforts and promote operational best practices.
- Provide mentorship to engineering staff and shape reliability standards across the organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or large-scale production operations.
- Advanced AWS proficiency, specifically with EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Expert-level Infrastructure-as-Code skills using Terraform, including module design and state governance.
- Strong coding ability in Python and Shell for production automation.
- Deep Linux knowledge covering security hardening, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing high-throughput distributed systems like Kafka.
- Demonstrated history of technical leadership, including mentoring teams and driving large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
- Practical experience applying AI/ML concepts to operational workflows, monitoring, or incident management.
Nice to have
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK, particularly those utilizing AI insights.
- Background in AIOps, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics.
- Experience influencing product-level architectural decisions.
- History of working in 24/7 global SaaS environments.
