About the role
Zuora is looking for a Solution Architect II to join its professional services organization and lead the design and delivery of subscription and billing solutions. You will guide clients through implementation projects, translating business needs into technical configurations while managing risks and ensuring successful deployments. This is a remote position with occasional in-person team gatherings.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design solutions using the complete Zuora product portfolio
- Validate that proposed architectures address both stated and implied business requirements
- Review technical deliverables to ensure alignment with architecture standards and best practices
- Present and defend technology perspectives to stakeholders at all levels
- Create and deliver architecture artifacts including ecosystem diagrams, integration diagrams, ERDs, business process flows, swim lanes, Visio diagrams, and mock-ups
- Communicate effectively with project sponsors ranging from CXO level to end users
- Provide expert services to Zuora Partners
- Identify implementation risks early and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
Requirements
- Enterprise-level experience as a Solution Architect or Business Consultant within a professional services organization at a technology consulting or product company
- Background delivering moderate to complex ERP, billing, revenue, procurement, or CRM solutions
- Proven ability to lead business discussions with customers and articulate solution value and implementation best practices
- Experience with requirements gathering, use case documentation, business analysis, systems design, integration, and user interface design
- Hands-on work with data analysis, conversion, migration, interfaces, and reports
- Familiarity with system design through configuration or customization, integration, testing, and support
- Track record delivering end-to-end solutions across the full SDLC including client workshops, design, build, test, deployment, UAT, and handover
- Working knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Strong collaboration and communication skills at business and technical levels within distributed teams
- Accounting knowledge sufficient to engage effectively with Finance teams
- Ability to manage tasks across multiple projects at once
