Product Manager, AI Platform

About the role

You will lead the development of the foundational AI platform that drives intelligence across the entire Zuora ecosystem. This role involves managing the architecture for agent orchestration, user interfaces, and the tools layer that allows AI to interact with billing and revenue data. You will work at the intersection of product design and platform engineering to ensure our enterprise customers have secure, scalable, and context-aware AI capabilities.

What you'll do

• Define the product roadmap for agent-to-application interaction, session management, and persona-based agent frameworks.
• Partner with application teams across Billing, Revenue, Payments, CPQ, and Platform to integrate AI features into their domains.
• Collaborate with engineering to make technical decisions regarding cloud infrastructure, memory management, and tool integrations.
• Establish governance models for AI, including permissions, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Utilize quantitative analytics and qualitative customer feedback to iterate on platform capabilities.
• Represent Zuora as a subject matter expert in industry events, analyst briefings, and customer advisory sessions.

Requirements

• 5 to 8+ years of product management experience at enterprise SaaS or platform companies.
• Minimum 2 years of experience focused on AI/ML platforms, foundational infrastructure, or developer platforms.
• Technical expertise in platform architecture, event-driven systems, API design, and distributed architectures.
• Experience building AI/ML components such as LLM orchestration, conversation management, or agent frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to ship AI features with enterprise-grade security and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and engineering leadership.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with agent frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or AWS Bedrock/AgentCore.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar tool-use patterns.
• Background in subscription billing, revenue platforms, or enterprise financial systems like Salesforce, Oracle, or SAP.
• Experience with real-time communication protocols.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
