Director, AI Security Specialist

About the role

Zscaler is launching a specialized AI Security incubation team to help enterprises safely deploy generative AI. We are looking for a technical leader to manage a group of specialists and drive significant revenue growth for this new product line. You will act as a primary advisor to executive leadership while bridging the gap between field insights and product development.

What you'll do

• Define and execute the technical go-to-market strategy for AI security offerings in partnership with global sales leadership.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of high-performing Principal AI Security Specialists.
• Create standardized proof of value frameworks, demo assets, and sales enablement playbooks.
• Serve as a technical executive sponsor for Fortune 500 clients, advising on secure AI patterns such as RAG, agents, and prompt workflows.
• Communicate field-based customer requirements to internal product and engineering teams to influence roadmaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in solutions engineering, including at least 5 years in a management role.
• Proficiency in enterprise security, specifically public cloud architecture, Zero Trust, data loss prevention, and cloud-native security.
• Technical knowledge of modern AI patterns including LLMs, MCP, RAG, and agentic orchestration.
• Proven ability to present complex technical concepts to C-suite executives.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a technical sales team within an incubation or startup environment.
• Expertise in AI risk management, including model governance, compliance, and shadow AI.
• Demonstrated success in taking a new technical product from initial launch to $10M+ ARR.
