About the role
You will create and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers while clearly articulating how the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform addresses specific business and technical needs. You will gather detailed customer technical requirements to validate that proposed solutions align with customer goals and operational constraints. You will lead product evaluations and configure custom product demonstrations that showcase the platform's capabilities in realistic scenarios. You will design and guide the execution of evaluation test plans to ensure successful proof-of-concept outcomes. You will act as a trusted advisor within high-performing, cross-functional teams that include sales, customer success, solution architects, and business development. You will leverage intelligent systems and AI tools to amplify your impact and maintain clarity in fast-paced, complex deal environments. You will embody a culture of execution by taking ownership, driving accountability, and ensuring transparent, honest debate that leads to the best decisions quickly.

Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve research, analysis, and presentation quality.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud security trends, competitive positioning, and product capabilities.
Participate in internal training and enablement to strengthen overall team effectiveness.
Contribute to documentation and playbooks that refine the sales engineering process.
Act as an ambassador for Zscaler by reinforcing the company's mission of securing the AI age.
Requirements
You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
You possess 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or a related technical consulting role.
You have a strong background in networking and security concepts, including firewalls, encryption, identity, and access management.
You are comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
You have experience demonstrating complex software solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
You are proficient in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
You have a proven track record of building and maintaining trusted customer relationships in fast-paced environments.
You are able to travel to customer sites or partner locations when necessary, with flexibility across regions.

You are comfortable making decisions and taking full ownership of solutions you propose to customers.
Nice to have
Experience with DevSecOps or cloud-native application protection platforms.
Familiarity with zero trust network access (ZTNA), secure web gateways, and cloud security service edge (SSE) platforms.
Background in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or government.
Experience with public speaking, technical workshops, or conference presentations.
Knowledge of AI-driven security use cases and how they integrate into broader platform strategies.

This is a remote role with expected travel to customer locations and partner offices as needed.
