Manager of Platform DevOps

About the role

You will head the Platform DevOps team, overseeing the Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure that power our global services. This position involves managing technical staff while partnering with Security and Engineering to improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Direct projects focused on infrastructure automation and the advancement of cloud and Kubernetes capabilities.
• Identify and implement strategies to optimize cloud resource spending.
• Coordinate with security departments to harden cloud and Kubernetes assets.
• Align with stakeholders to define project roadmaps and address technical needs.
• Mentor team members and refine operational workflows using mature software engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of SRE or DevOps experience in production environments.
• At least 3 years of experience in a management role leading technical teams.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language plus experience with scripting.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS or OCI.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies including Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Continuous Deployment practices, CI/CD tools, and version control systems like Git, Jenkins, Argo CD, or JFrog Artifactory.
• Availability to manage releases and participate in on-call rotations or incident response during off-hours and weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Background in system design and distributed computing at scale.
• Experience using AI to automate SRE and management workflows.
• Experience operating Kubernetes in on-premises or colocation datacenters.
• Ability to speak Chinese or Mandarin.
