Staff Frontend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior frontend engineer to take full responsibility for our user interface. This role requires a strong product-oriented approach and a forward-thinking mindset for building with AI. You will be instrumental in defining and elevating our frontend development standards.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Lead the development of new features from initial concept through to deployment and impact assessment, covering areas like user onboarding, core product dashboards, and billing interfaces.
• Integrate AI tools and methodologies into your development process to enhance productivity and explore new product capabilities, such as AI-driven user guidance.
• Implement comprehensive event tracking and analytics to measure the success and performance of all shipped features.
• Conduct experiments and A/B tests to optimize user activation and conversion rates based on data insights.
• Work collaboratively with product, marketing, sales, and support teams, and assist backend engineers with API design and potentially backend development tasks.
• Establish and maintain high standards for React code quality and testing, and provide technical guidance to growing engineering talent.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in frontend or product engineering, demonstrating significant technical leadership and impact at a senior level.
• Extensive experience with React and a keen eye for creating polished and user-friendly interfaces.
• A proven track record of driving measurable outcomes and business impact through product development.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in a development workflow, with examples of applying AI to product features.
• Experience with funnel analytics, event instrumentation, and A/B testing frameworks.
• Ability to effectively define API requirements and a willingness to contribute to backend services when beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and providing data-driven feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amplitude, Segment, BigQuery, or PostHog.
• Familiarity with tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
