Data Scientist (AI/ML Modeling, Forecasting & Algorithms)

Yum! Crave AI is looking for a data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models that solve operational business challenges. This position focuses on applying standard modeling techniques to deliver scalable solutions while working alongside cross-functional partners.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Create and implement machine learning models including regression, classification, forecasting, and optimization.
• Translate business needs into structured technical problems with support from senior team members.
• Manage the full model lifecycle, including feature engineering, training, validation, and evaluation.
• Support the design and analysis of experiments such as A/B tests and simulations.
• Prepare structured and semi-structured data for analytical use.
• Partner with Data and ML Engineering teams to assist in model deployment.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data science or machine learning.
• Demonstrated ability to apply machine learning to practical, real-world issues.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Understanding of validation methods and model performance metrics.

Nice to have

• Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Background working within cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies.
• Prior experience collaborating with engineering teams on production-level deployments.
