About the role
Join a client-facing team focused on developing and enhancing digital products for a prominent organization. We are seeking a proactive and skilled engineer experienced in delivering high-quality PHP code within modern CMS environments. You will collaborate closely with client engineers on feature development and a significant CMS migration project.
Key facts
What you'll do
Develop and maintain features for a live Craft CMS platform, ensuring consistent code contributions and rapid feedback.
Contribute to migrating a legacy CMS to Craft, including UI/UX updates, aiming for a mid-2026 completion.
Partner with client engineers and a product designer on development initiatives and knowledge sharing.
Mentor team members and disseminate technical knowledge to foster team growth.
Present your work during regular demonstrations to the broader team.
Ensure production quality and adhere to service level agreements through monitoring.
Evaluate and integrate new tools, including AI, where they demonstrably enhance the development process.
Requirements
Proficiency in PHP development, with practical experience using Craft CMS.
Understanding of Craft CMS templating, its plugin architecture, and content modeling.
Experience migrating content from older CMS systems; familiarity with Epic Server is beneficial.
Ability to implement UI/UX designs, including responsive and accessible web interfaces.
Knowledge of relational database design and query optimization; SQL Server experience is a plus.
Experience building RESTful APIs and understanding how CMS platforms interact with data.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git for team-based development.
Comfort working with cloud-hosted infrastructure and standard deployment tools.
Awareness of production monitoring and performance considerations.
Ability to troubleshoot live issues calmly and communicate effectively.
Self-starter with a drive for continuous improvement.
Clear communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Attention to detail balanced with a focus on delivery.
Experience working collaboratively in small, agile teams.
Comfort with agile methodologies and high-stakes production environments.
