About the role

YLD is seeking a Business Analyst to join a client-facing team focused on a major Energy Transformation program. You will act as the primary link between technical engineering teams and business stakeholders to define requirements and manage complex system migrations.

What you'll do

• Map intricate business processes and convert energy market needs into technical specifications.
• Coordinate with Product Managers, engineers, third-party vendors, and subject matter experts.
• Manage data migration tasks and system preparation.
• Bridge the gap between legacy workflows and new platform architectures.
• Provide the engineering team with necessary business and customer insights.

Requirements

• Proven experience with large-scale system transformation or data migration projects involving strict deadlines.
• Ability to document technical requirements, including data mapping, logic flows, and system integrations.
• Skill in drafting clear specifications and user acceptance criteria.
• Proactive approach to identifying and managing project risks.
• Confidence in facilitating discussions between commercial, design, and engineering departments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Practical notes

• The recruitment process consists of a 30 to 45 minute interview with a Talent Partner, a 90 minute technical interview with Senior Developers, and a final 30 to 45 minute discussion with a Client Partner.
