Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Yendo is building a financial platform to help everyday people improve their financial health. We are seeking a backend engineer to contribute to the development of our innovative credit card product. You will play a key role in shaping our technology and impacting the lives of our users.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for our credit card product.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices and customer experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, considering edge cases and failure modes.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Proficiency in Go is preferred, but experience with TypeScript, Java, Python, or Ruby is also valued.
• A strong understanding of system design principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Postgres, Redis, and AWS.
• Prior experience in fintech, payments, card networks, banking, or early-stage startups.
