What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS to support federal software applications.

Implement and automate infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code methodologies to ensure consistency and reliability.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python or Go to build custom software components and integration layers.

Collaborate with software architects to translate high-level requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans.

Integrate and configure open-source software components to extend functionality and address complex technical problems.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments to ensure high availability and optimal operation.

Work autonomously to identify root causes of technical issues and implement solutions quickly without constant supervision.

Manage and optimize cloud resources to improve cost-efficiency and operational performance within government compliance standards.

Serve as a technical contributor on a team that values innovation, allowing you to solve difficult problems using Big Data and Cloud technology.

Support the development lifecycle by contributing to code reviews, documentation, and best practices for cloud operations.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that infrastructure changes support the strategic goals of the software architecture.

Maintain strict compliance and security protocols required for handling federal data and government information systems.

Requirements

United States Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.

Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph is mandatory for this position.

You must possess a strong foundation in Linux operating systems and be comfortable working with command-line interfaces.

Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is essential for performing core job functions.

Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Go is required to develop and maintain software components.

You must have the ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively to solve problems quickly.

A commitment to understanding and solving real-world problems for federal government customers is essential for success in this role.

Nice to have

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Understanding of Big Data technologies and data processing frameworks.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

This is a hybrid position that allows for a flexible work arrangement with in-office collaboration.

Due to the federal contract requirements, candidates must be available for United States Citizenship verification and appropriate security clearance processing.

The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph, which may involve background investigation delays.

Candidates must be capable of working in a federal government support environment, which may require adherence to specific schedules or on-call responsibilities.
